Olly Sanders
A B.C.U. Level 5 Sea Coach and A.C.A. Advanced Open Water
Instructor, Olly has been playing on the Snowdonia and Anglesey
coastline for 20 years. His qualifications also extend to the
climbing arena where he holds a Mountain Instructor Certificate
(MIC), the highest instructor qualification in the UK, as well
as being a nominee for the Piolet D'Or - mountaineering's
highest International award.
Expeditioning has always played a large part in his life, whether in a
boat or in the mountains, and he hopes this will continue for as
long as his body lets him!
10 years as a Senior Instructor at Plas y Brenin and owner of
Rock and Sea Adventures, his own adventure tour company, has helped him work
at the highest level in instructional awards. Running the
rescue department also gave him the insight and opportunity to effectively work
with rescue services on the sea and in the mountains.
In his spare time you will find him searching for the best
cappuccino in North Wales. |

Leo Hoare
Paddling since the age of 9, Leo has spent more time in a boat
than not.
His love of the sea has taken him on sea kayaking expeditions all over the
world. Guiding in Scotland and North Wales has given him regular
practice rescuing and a chance to develop new techniques.
A B.C.U Level 5 Kayak and Canoe Coach, Leo works for Plas y Brenin and has
freelanced for other national centres. His repertoire of jokes
helps keep his students happy even when they are in trouble and
needing to be rescued. |
